Amethyst: A Sobriety Stone?

The Amethyst

Powerful ... Strong... & Universal

Let's take a look at its ability to help with addiction, especially with alcohol.

Amethyst is a very well known sobriety stone. It comes from the Greek word, amethysos, which literally means “not drunk.”

It has been used for millennia to prevent drunkenness, and is used to assist in getting rid of addictions to alcohol, drugs, smoking, food, & destructive compulsive behaviors of all kinds.

Wait a minute!

Are you telling me that crystals are supposed to help addicts overcome addiction? Is there any science behind it?

Well...yes and no.

Everything has an energy, and certain crystals and gemstones are known to have certain metaphysical properties that communicate with energy in such a way that certain attributes are supposed to be enhanced.

Now don't get us wrong...

We know that going to therapy and learning how to peel back the layers of addiction is very important for a full recovery...but so is rejuvenating your mental, emotional and spiritual planes of existence to prevent relapse.

Her Story

"From 2005-2011 I was a drinker. You wouldn't of considered me an alcoholic, but not a day went by I did not have 2-3 Heineken's, was party drinking most weekends and smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a week.

When I discovered I was pregnant, quitting was a snap!

But 1 year after my son's birth, the stresses of life invited back in my old ways of dealing with pain.

With more booze & smokes.

I knew it was time to stop when my son, 3 yrs old back then, looked at me with innocent eyes, pointed to a cigarette butt on the floor, a big smile across his face, said: "Puff!".

Ooooh the shame I felt.

And my stomach wasn't loving me either. I looked 3 months pregnant...with beer!

It was time for a change and 2011 is when I started working with crystals. At the time, I did not know about the metaphysical properties of the Amethyst, but I was drawn to it and just knew I had to put it in water. and so I decided to create an Amethysts elixir. Setting them with the right intention & programming them, I drank it regularly for months...and my life started changing dramatically.

It has now been 6 years that I have not drank a beer or smoked a cigarette." -Anonymous

CRYSTAL COMBO

Recovery from any form of addiction or bad habit will require a strong support system, absolute faith & most important of all, an optimistic mindset.

An important part of the recovery process also involves spiritual well-being, positive energy and daily discipline.

This is where wearing or carrying crystals can help. Whether one carries tumbled stones, wears a bracelet or a necklace made with crystals for addiction or recovery, the energy of the stone can encourage a healthy, positive attitude during the recovery journey.

There are two ways that healing stones can help you with addiction:

  1. They serve as a constant reminder of your goal to overcome your addiction.

  2. The healing properties of that specific crystal can help with the healing process.

Here is a powerful crystal combo that can help you deal with an addiction or negative habit.

Hematite - helps with unwanted patterns.

Black Onyx - helps to calm your fears and worries & can give you the strength to transform your life.

Obsidian - helps to absorbs mental stress & aids in the removal of toxins from the body.

Amethyst - is of course an important part of the crystal energy combo.

Some people will work very well with the energy of one single crystal while others may need a crystal energy combo.
